It seems, that DC++ freezes without ZoneAlarm, as well. :(
The problem is the same:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 5740.0x17f0]
0x7c918fea in ntdll!RtlpWaitForCriticalSection ()
from D:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll.dll
So we should consider this issue reopened...

Bug description:
OS: Windows XP SP2 (eng)
DC++: 0.770
Soon after I start DC++, it consumes 90-100% cpu (even task manager freezes).
No such problem happened with earlier versions. Now, I tried to reinstall version 0.762, but that freezes too. :(
May it be some problem of the environment?
I don't remember installing anything lately (nor changing any configuration settings).
