[Bug 611648] Re: DC++ 0.770 freezes a few minutes after startup

It seems that the problem still exists.

I had DC++ 0.750 and tried to upgrade to 0.770. It seems to install
itself OK, but when I start it I got the screen up but it is frozen and
becomes blank when I click on it. I cannot terminate the process from
task manager, only power cycling will help. I have 32 bit XP with SP3,
all updates installed. I have F-Secure 2010 antivirus program. I tried
to install 0.770 with antivirus disabled but the result was the same,
DC++ freezes the same way.

I have tried to install 0.770 with clearing all saved data but that
didn't help either.

Thus I finally installed 0.750 back and it works without problems.

I had this freezing problem with 0.762 (if I remember the version number
OK) and I had hoped that it was fixed with 0.770 when so long time had
passed from the release of 0.770.

Could it be some problem with old dll that the earlier version does not
uninstall properly?

Status in DC++: Incomplete

Bug description:
OS: Windows XP SP2 (eng)
DC++: 0.770

Soon after I start DC++, it consumes 90-100% cpu (even task manager freezes).
No such problem happened with earlier versions. Now, I tried to reinstall version 0.762, but that freezes too. :(

May it be some problem of the environment?
I don't remember installing anything lately (nor changing any configuration settings).

(see attached crash report)
