Title:
Total OS Crash DC++ but Not in Strong DC++
Status in DC++:
Expired
Bug description:
I Have been running DC++ for a few years now on XP, no major problems
only the usual port problems, It started when I changed to Vista, I
connected to about 40 hubs , UPNP worked fine and worked as normal,
only after a short period of time it would hang/ freeze my complete
system, I have to Hardboot
3gb of Ram all start up programs stopped antivirus off , keeps doing
it
So I proceeded to try Strong DC++ . Hubs loaded Ok Only I could not
Get UPNP to Work, it would not connect TCP port so I could only work
in Passive, but it worked NO hanging, just poor search results.
Not happy working in Passive mode I uninstalled and tried original
DC++ Beta version.
UPNP worked fine searches worked fine in active mode. Great NOOOOO
it started crashing again..
Will someone else with Crashing problems try StrongDC++ please
I liked the segemented downloads FAST by the way. Would like to see
this on original DC++
An Idea I think it has something to do with the amount of download
because it was ok until I started downloads because I have a que it
keeps crashing
StrongDC++ seems to have more control on what it will lets you
download in one go, thinking about it it may only about 3 uses at a
time can't remember now.
I will go away delete TEST Que file and limit download load slots to
about 3 see what happens.
cheers
