Found issue was down to corrupted 'hashindex.xml' file which could not be written to or deleted. 
I had to start in safe mode in order to remove file.  All OK afterwards with new hash index file created.

  Error saving Hash data:access is denied

Status in DC++:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I have installed the latest version of dcc 0.781 and I keep getting
  the above error whilst hashing.  As a result it keeps trying to rehash
  the files.  I am running windows 7 professional 64bit with 4Gb memory
