Title:
file corruption issues on big archives
Status in DC++:
Expired
Bug description:
We recently used DC++ 0.770 as a means to replace Windows File Sharing to transfer files in a private LAN setting.
The exchanged files were mostly big RAR archives between 2 and 8 GB in size, containing a few thousand smaller files. Files would download normally, but end up corrupted somewhere along the road. Usually, the archives would extract normally, but miss some files here and there, or contain corrupted files.
All participating clients were using dc++ 0.770 with default settings, on a variety of Windows OS. The problem occured on Windows XP SP3 x86, Windows 7 x64 and Windows Vista SP1 x64.
The hub software used was YnHub 1.036, running on a WinXP SP3 x86 machine.
It's probably worth mentioning, that, a few years ago, we used a combination of dc++ 0.6x + YnHub in a similar fashion and environment without any such problems.
