why not? :D (almost) every software with auto-update-function has the
possibility.

almost every software wants to check for updates and reminds you about
installing them. so, in many cases it is very useful to be up-to-date.
but in some cases it could be annoying. so, i think the user should have
a choice, which tools on his pc should be updatet automatically and
which not.
