Since version 0.79x you can choose any color you like for the transfer progress background. Choosing appropriate colors can make the animation a lot less distracting for those who don't like them.
Do we still want to readd another option for this?

Bug description:
  I use DC++ many years and, as long as it works, im usually lazy to
  update anything, but I decided to install newest DC++ version.

  I can no longer turn off that animated transfer progress in status bar
  (option to uncheck is gone from settings).

  Would it be possible to add that option back?
