the patches look good, but i am somehow mitigated about the "session
level" concept. in your example in comment #5 (user promoted to allow
chatting but not sharing), wouldn't it make sense to grant that level
permanently to the user?

am i correct in assuming that with these 2 patches, there won't be any
visible difference? are there other changes planned after these patches
that are going to leverage session levels?

Bug description:
  This patch provides a per session element with some user data,
  currently this is just the level but in the future it could be other
  data. Similarly it modifies all the other example scripts so they use
  get_level and thus the session based level.
