[Bug 1162879] Re: Runtime Error.
1) are you using any plugin?
2) can you try to delete your Hash* files? this will incur a complete re-hash. save them beforehand of course, if this turns out to be the cause.
3) how many hubs are you connected to? how many users in total? how many running transfers? how large is your DL queue?
4) what is the mem use in the Windows task manager for the DC++ process right before it crashes? GDB is hinting at a memory allocation failure.

Title:
Runtime Error.
Status in DC++:
New
Bug description:
Dear madame, sir,
I am experiencing the following error.
---------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program\DC++\DCPlusPlus.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I haven't been able to use DC++ for about one or two weeks now, ever since the last update.
Error is now encountered with DC++ Version 0.810. Error encountered since DC++ Version 0.811 update.
Was not (!) encountering error during use of DC++ Version 0.802.
When I start DC++ it works for a minute or so, I connect to all my
hubs properly, I can search for files, I \\can even start downloads or
uploads and then suddenly I receive the runtime error.
I am running Windows XP with SP3 and all regular updates.
Running Norton Antivirus Firewall and the whole 9 yards.
The in-app crash report gives the following information:
---------------------------
DC++ has crashed on 2013-02-07 at 23:35:13.
Please report this data to the DC++ team for further investigation.
DC++ version: DC++ v0.802 (r3085)
TTH: TSJ2JLMU44ED5ZRWO7N5G44DQTC6AOTN7BPQJOY
Compiled with GCC 4.7.0
Exception code: c0000005
Windows version: major = 5, minor = 1, build = 2600, SP = 3, type = 1
Processors: 1 * x86
Writing the stack trace...
DCPlusPlus: H:\Dev\DC++\0.802/h:/mingw/bin/../lib/gcc/mingw32/4.7.0/include/c++/bits/unique_ptr.h (217), function: HubData* getPluginObject(Client* const this)
DCPlusPlus: ?
Information about the crash has been written.
---------------------------
It might be weird that it says 0.802 two times there in that report,
while I am actually using 0.810 in this instance (that is what it says
in the bottom "Start" line.
I have also ran a debug using gdb, which is attached.
Hope you guys can fix this.
Drop me an e-mail when you know more, or need my help.
Regards,
Marijn
