[Bug 1206545] Re: Later versions crash when adding Mac-based Windows XP network shared files
it's fine to stay in this thread. i have removed your screenshot for
privacy reasons. various questions:
1) did it crash when opening the search tab or after starting a search?
does it always crash or is it random?
2) how exactly do shared directories disappear? are the directories
still visible in Settings > Sharing or do you have to re-add them?
3) can you find the files that have disappeared listed inside the
HashIndex.xml file? here is how to find that file:
<http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_settings_files.html>
4) if you start DC++, let it hash, close it then re-open it, are all
shared directories there? if you then have it crash, are shared dirs
there?

Title:
Later versions crash when adding Mac-based Windows XP network shared
files
Status in DC++:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Versions of DC++ after 0.822 can not recognize my (local area network
based) share file folder. DC++ crashes when trying to (re) add my
shared folder. I have reverted back to version 0.822 and my network
shared files, already hashed, were immediately available. Running
Windows XP Pro SP3 with latested updates. Shared files are on a
Macintosh-based network share.
