[Bug 1246868] Re: Maximum command length exceeded

 

This is because in DC++ 0.830 the maximum accepted protocol command size was reduced from 16 MiB to 16 KiB due to some security considerations.
Since some other people have already been complained about this elsewhere, this value would probably need a setting and a higher default value...

  Maximum command length exceeded

Status in DC++:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  In the DC++ client, I am able to do everything normally - type all
  defined commands, chat etc... but then i type +read the bot initially
  says: you issued a +read command. Your word is my command! (the normal
  response)

  and immediately after it shows: *** Maximum command length exceeded
  (instead of showing me the read request board)

  and disconnects me from the hub... 
  (note: all other commands work perfectly)

  OS: Win 8 64-bit
  DC++ version: 0.830
