Re: Let's get started

 

Hi Clem & all.
OK, using Opera as the example I followed your instructions to the end and
got a working .deb file called opera_9.63-mint1_i386.deb .  I uninstalled my
opera version (~9.62-mint1) and dpkg-ed it and it now shows up in Synaptic
as my above creation. Mission Accomplished! Except I didn't make any changes
to the actual opera package itself, other than the version number in
control.

How do I determine what changes are needed, and where to make them, etc? Or
is this all that you require, for now?
