Message #00056
.mint file Software Portal
This might be a bit of the topic but here goes.
What is the process with updating the Software Portal?
Currently the community can use mint-make to create a .mint file which
includes the info to basically get the file installed... doesnt include
screenshot for example.
The next step is they submit the .mint file...
So im guessing there is a manual process whereby someone is adding the newly
submitted .mint files to the DB and in doing so has to grab screenshots,
websites, license..etc ?
The reason im trying to get a handle of the process is im currently working
on updating mint-make with gui...etc.. And it seems to me that we should
perhaps look at extending the .mint format to include the additional data to
reduce the backend work.. As im new to Mint im sure im missing key pieces of
information.
Cheers
