i have heard some great ideas here, particularly from dave and
lighthazard. we should use a standard format, i suggest something
natively (or easily) supported by all ( or nearly all distros and
windows and mac) like .avi or .mpeg. and the use of virtual box with
just a straight mint 6 ( or current mint) distro on. no customization
at all. this would make it easier for everyone to go to the same
places (i rely heavily on mouse gestures and hotkeys). customization
can be a part of this project, but we should stay as default as we can.
as for the program we should use, i believe that the version of
virtual box that you download from their site has a screen recorder,
(some one correct me if i'm wrong please- i normally use vmware). but
if they do, we should all get one product for the virtualization, and
one product only. this will be easier if we standardize.
