Re: paul-harrington-ward wants to join

Hi Paul,

thanks alot for your interest in joining the LottaNZB Development
Team! It would be great to hear something about you and what you'd
like to work upon in the project.

The project is currently in a quite exciting phase, as LottaNZB 0.6,
based on SABnzbd, is maturing quickly and will soon be released for
testing in the form of a PPA with daily builds. Thus, the focus of
development in the next weeks will probably not be on adding fancy new
features, but making the application rock-solid for its upcoming
release. While the backend and the UI have been rewritten, the plug-in
infrastructure still hasn't, but it's likely to reappear in LottaNZB >
0.6.

Besides fixing bugs there are still a few minor features that need to
be implemented, like the ability to change the computer whose
downloads are being monitored. Right now, it's only possible to select
the computer when LottaNZB is set up for the first time. Also, once
the UI is relatively stable, the help content will need to be
rewritten as the current one is terribly out-of-date. Also one will
need to write [0].

Launchpad is what we use to coordinate the whole development of
LottaNZB. Managing bug reports is quite easy to understand, dealing
with code branches using Bazaar etc. takes a little more time to
understand. I'd be happy to guide you and there are also some docs
about it [1].

Regards,
Severin
