[Bug 931809] Re: Please remove the old LTTng packages from the Ubuntu archive

Updating bug to affect lttv, ust and ltt-control.

** Summary changed:

- Please remove lttv from the Ubuntu archive
+ Please remove the old LTTng packages from the Ubuntu archive

** Also affects: ust (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Also affects: ltt-control (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Description changed:

As I'm currently helping lttng upstream get their 2.0 stack into
Precise, the current lttv is going to be useless in 12.04.

- The current lttv only works with a manually patched kernel and possibly
- some more unpackaged tool, a new version of it is expected to land for
- 12.10 in Debian, which will get automatically imported.

In order to avoid confusion for the potential users as well as avoiding
- unneeded bug reports, I'd like to see lttv removed from the Ubuntu
+ unneeded bug reports, I'd like to see them removed from the Ubuntu
archive, though not added to the sync blacklist as we definitely want it
  in sync again in 12.10.

This was discussed with LTTng upstream and thought to be the best
  solution for 12.04.
