Title:
  [FFe] babeltrace 1.2.1-1

Status in “babeltrace” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Babeltrace 1.2 adds four new features compared to Babeltrace 1.1.

  1) lttng-live input plugin
The most important feature regarding the integration of LTTng 2.4 in
Ubuntu 14.04 is the lttng-live input plugin.
This plugin allows the user to read the trace while it is being recorded
which is the main new feature of LTTng 2.4.
Without the support for this feature, the "lttng view" command for live
  sessions will fail.

  2) CTF writer library
This features allows C/C++ programs to write CTF traces, so they can be
easily merged with other CTF traces (such as LTTng traces).

  3) Babeltrace Python bindings
Not compiled in the current Debian/Ubuntu package.

  4) CTF indexes support
Implicit feature for the support of LTTng traces. It increases the speed
to process huge CTF traces because it avoids the need for the initial
  indexing.
