Subject: Bugs: Desktop Icon Placement: PARTLY SOLVED
Hi everyone (please forward to distribution list if possible),
The problems was that I was using window geometry for
Pcmanfm in the Openbox lubuntu-rc.xml file. It forced to
open Pcmanfm in one specific place on my desktop... the
desktop icons were affected and positioned in exactly the
same place.
Removing it fixed the problem but now Pcmanfm opens in
random places... (or either right in the middle of screen or
the top left) and has to be repositioned every time. Does
anyone have a solution for this?
The lack of window positioning in Lubuntu is one of it few
weaknesses... constantly repositioning windows. Another one
is the lack of an easy way to make shortcuts. A
paste-as-link could solve the problem if it can be done in
Pcmanfm. Other than this, I love Lubuntu and the
multi-tabbed Pcmanfm is very powerful tool.
Congratulations to all those who put this together.
Thanks.
