Not really, even if the CPU has the VT option you really need 1GiB of RAM to make it a pleasant experience.
I’ve run VB on Lubuntu with Lubuntu in VB on a 2.4GHz P4 with 1GiB of RAM and it was slower than running Lubuntu on an old 266MHz machine, very jerky and stuttering.
