Re: New Member

hi Ali,

The error on saving is a known bug. but it does save, it is a pain as it
only appears infrequently and they have not managed to find the cause of
it. The making of the page was via the Ubuntu Beginners Team, as I noted to
you. Whilst I am no longer actively involved with UBT I would really
recommend that you make your self known to them.

As you join the *buntu system more closely, there will come a time that we
ask that you sign the Code of Conduct. In my conversations with you, I know
that you will abide by it & the signing of it. Do read it carefully, fully
understand and be proud of signing. As I have also said, whilst we do have
Mentors via UBT in Lubuntu, they are not really able to take on any more new
comers at the moment. (I do have a plan that may be able to get you to one
of them). I will try my best to get you a mentor for UBT, but it is a case
of so many wanting to join and not enough mentors. Whilst you await a
mentor, I will assist you in every way I can.

In the meantime, please join both the Lubuntu mailing list at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/ContactUs and follow the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BeginnersTeam/Membership

@ Lubuntueers with UBT, keep an eye on him - he may be your next trainee.

@council, hopefully we can take him in 'in-house', but I've learned to have
a plan 'B'.

Regards,

Phill.
