12.04 ppc + synaptic

The version of synaptic that comes with Lubuntu 12.04 ppc (v
0.75.5~exp6) does not offer anymore the feature quick research, which
is annoying. I tried to install another version from Debian, but that
did not work. Could that be reactivated for the final release?
