Re: Fwd: Precise Beta 1 Testing Report

Hi,

There needs to be some sign of life on the testing. We were asked by the QA
team if lubuntu had anyone testing the intel-mac system and had to be
honest and say that we were unaware of any one. They have been told that we
have at least one tester now, that is sufficient to keep that variant
alive. They did cut us a lot of slack over what happened with the theme,
but there needs to be some sign of life on the iso tracker. There is no
mass panic as yet, that will come a couple of days before the beta 2 is
due! I know we are spreading our valiant testers pretty thinly, but they
are all as committed as each other that we have as many hardware profiles
available for lubuntu as possible. As I'm good at begging, I've even got
one of the ubuntu-uk guys to dust down an elderly computer to confirm with
Steven et all about the non-pae testing side which is not even on the
tracker!

It will be even more fun for 12.10, as we may dip our toe in the water for
the ARM chipset :) Currently we have one person who is interested in that.

If it were not for such a dedicated group of people that lubuntu is blessed
with who are prepared to give up their free time, we would be up the creek
without a paddle. So to all of you, may I say an enormous "Thank-you".

Phill.
