12.04 beta 1 ppc - after installation

I finally succeeded in installing beta 1 12.04 ppc. This are the
problems i notice, at a first glance:

1) No icon for network connection in the panel, only an empty space

2) The black background problem persists even after upgrading

3) The advanced desktop menu now, has all important options but there
is chromium, in the ppc version pretty much wrong: should be firefox

4) The consoles 1 - 6 are unusable because of the messed up screen

5) The kernel updates continues to go to the topmost level (/ instead
of /boot - i described the problem in another mail and in the ppc
tester needed thread)

6) Aptitude gtk does not work (aptitude from commandline yes)

7) The preinstalled firefox language packages are version 11, firefox
itself is version 10!

8) The powermanagement/fan speed problem continues . . . (setting `
/sys/devices/temperatures/limit_adjust` from 0 to 5 helps but i don't
know if this is a real solution or only some bricolage to work
around).

9) Closing the lid only activates the xscreensaver not even puts the
screen to sleep and even less puts the powerbook to ram (although the
pbbuttonsd/powerprefs settings say that!). I suspect the problems here
might be connected to xfce power management. In a parallel debian +
lxde installation the gnome powermanagement gets installed and the
suspend to ram by closing the lid works flawlessly . . . (?)

10) Powerprefs (graphical interface to pbbuttonsd) should be preinstalled

11) It's not a failure but a suggestion: I found out, that only
Rhythmbox works pretty much correctly with all kind of iPods (i can
test 3, 1st generation, shuffle 2nd generation and 1st generation
usb). May should be installed by default.

12) The same goes for the totem plugin for firefox. Moreover, for ppc,
should be considered to install by default Minitube as a way to access
youtube. Gnash, which was installed otoh in this beta by default, is
pretty much worthless. It never ever worked
