Re: Update notifications in Precise

 

On one hand I agree with you, on the other hand we should consider the
intended target market. We've had mentions of system hangs due to the
update checker (we also have an unintended installation of apt-xapian-index
which is even worse).
That is why I wasn't sure if precise still checked automatically.
