12.10 testing

Hiyas,

one of the many reasons I'm over here in linux boot camp is to learn more
about the remote use of virtual machines with GUI and not just CLI. The
good news? Yes, it can be done on the little horror that thesii.org have
for their server. My tutor said that such a server would need some serious
'horses under the bonnet' to run several such instances, especially if it
has to convert into ppc emulation...... I gave him the specs of the server
and his jaw hit the floor. Who knows, i may be able to get its quad core
with 16GB of RAM to actually raise itself over 1% CPU time & 1GB of RAM
used, which is where it sits :)

It is too late for 12.04, but testing 12.10 should be a bit more fun as it
can grab an entire iso in under 3 minutes; and I've even taught it zsync! I
do hope you guys are having a think about the specific to Lubuntu tests
that need adding into the testing schedule. Do take a well deserved break
from things once 12.04 lands. we get about 5 weeks off before 12.10 testing
starts! Without you, it would not have been possible.

Thanks,

Phill.
