curious: i have two powerbook g4s, a little 13" and a 15" but their reaction to "last night's" iso (i   don't think there ever was a 20120927— we're already on 20120928 as i write this). 

i tried booting with:
live
live nomodeset
live radeon.modeset=0

the 13" works only with nomodeset and gets 8 bit graphics.
the 15" works with anything but nomodeset and gets 16 bit graphics.

neither of them can install because the installer dialog either comes up blank/transparent (the 13") or black (the 15").

we'll see what the new iso brings tonight.
