Re: Desktop, Alternate and flavours....

It would be great to even have a list here on the QA mailing list.

When we were doing normal Alpha testing we'd sometimes have many rebuilds over a period of 3 to 4 days but we'd typically end up with an image that was usable by most of us, and a compilation of bugs that really needed attention.

Now it's just a crap shoot.

i might make a wiki page for iso bugs that need confirming/looking at.

Jackson, that's a good idea actually.
We should pull the unconfirmed ubiquity bugs off the lp list and
try and confirm or deny them. We've done similar drives in past
cycles as the cycle gets further along. I think now is a good
time. That's something we as a team can do to help the developers.
I'll try and get a nice summary link to view and add it as a task
      for our cadence week.

      Thanks guys!

there are things getting fixed, but not many. there
doesn't seem to be enough testing though, even just to get some
bugs confirmed. some bugs in the iso tracker have been "new" for
        a few months.

                  Do you have a
bug report # for that ubiquity bug?

                    I'm aware of this bug:

                    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1080701

It's been bugging many of us since mid-November but
we obviously no longer care about the ability to
install and/or test the images until Beta falls :^(

I hate to be the turd in the punch-bowl, but why
bother testing if nothing ever gets fixed?

                    Lance

PS: this is an indication that "cadence" should be
renamed, maybe to "we'll look at it later"!

                      Hi good people,

as we run through cadence testing, there
does seem to be a lack of testing. Can I ask
that people do test out the DeskTop versions
for lubuntu and xubuntu as we seem to have a
gremlin in ubiquity that may only affect our
Virtual Machines. Also when you take the time
out to try the 'alternate' ISOs for lubuntu,
would you also please check out the basic
ubuntu-server ISO, as it is required for us to
maintain support for the lubuntu-alternate ISO
                          series.

                        Regards,

                        Phill.

P.S. if anyone who is receiving this sort
of email for the first time, please have a
