Re: Alt images and encryption
I was going to ask, since my memory stinks, if we'll have an RC before the final. Seems like you just answered that :^)
This is the new upgrade test I was talking about:
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/testcases/1498/info
I'll have to talk with Nicholas about that because the two upgrades are totally different things ......... in fact if we keep the alts alive we'd have 3 upgrade tests, but nothing between the 3 tests would effect the other - so this needs to be cussed and discussed ;^/
Anyway it looks like we're muddling through this time, and I'm quite impressed with Lubuntu itself aside from the upstream and side-stream warts :^)

lol, indeed. But, the window for testing for the beta 2 has been extremely short. At least we can hope for 7 days of testing for the Release Candidate (and, of course, pigs may actually fly :P ).

Phill.

I do try and remember to to that.
Going forward I think we very much need to get a minimum of 2 testers subscribed to each test.
There are many things that can throw a tester off of his/her game ..... like the addition of another upgrade test that's not well defined and IMHO should be a totally different test.
I'm doing my best and I know you are doing likewise, so let's not form a circular firing squad ;^)

Lance, as you pick a test, make sure to mark it as started! Pointless us both doing the same test :)
@everyone ... please do mark a test as started when you choose it!

Phill.

Cool :^) I'm downloading the live amd64 image right now so I can complete those tests.
And that i386 upgrade test is running on another box.

I've just finished the alt amd64 encryption one. I'll do the i386 one while I wait on amd64 desktop to arrive (most likely overnight).

Change of plans. I need to haul a dog to the vet so I'm just going to start an i386 upgrade test ;^)
