Re: Fwd: [Bug 1066435] Re: powerpc: "Fixing recursive fault but reboot is needed!"

Hi,

I added two comments (#90 and #91) to the end of the launchpad page for this bug. Yesterday, I also filed a passed test for installation using the 20130820 alternate iso.

Regards,

Keith

Hi, regarding the below bug, please do test and comment on the bug report. What is in the past, is in the past... I'm more focused on what is in the future... 13.10.

The new kernel arrived on 18th August into the builds. The guys do need some input for this bug to be put to bed after haunting for a couple of cycles now.

Regards,

Phill.

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel for Saucy in - proposed solves the problem (3.11.0-0.1). Please test the kernel and update this

Bug description:
After what appears to be a completed installation trying to boot end
in the following statement "Fixing recursive fault but reboot is
needed!". Rebooting ends the same with scroll of text and enability
to get to terminal or other. This occurred while doing real hardware
iso testing on the 20121014 Lubuntu alternate powerpc iso doing qa
  iso-testing.

Since I do have another clean installed desktop on the computer I might be able to get some of the logs.
