A New Team Leader for Lubuntu QA

Hi,

First of all, I can tell your first impression the moment you saw the
sender and the subject of this email :)

The answer to your Q is: NO ... I am NOT planning to step in as a Team
Leader for this area. I have tons of other roles and tons of other tasks so
my hands are tight but being the Head of the Brainstorming Team and a
faithful member of Lubuntu Family for two years who can't ever be late when
Lubuntu needs help, I find it, and I am sure some if not all of you agree,
that this team, needs a New Team Leader, specially after Phill has
left/resigned.

I have started this Blueprint previously:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/lubuntu-brainstorming/+spec/lubuntu-qa-sub-team

I believe if we want a successful release, in every aspect, the role of
Release Manager/QA Team Leader must be handled by someone who is:

ACTIVE
Skilled
Experienced
Available to help
Can handle this team

Don't underestimate this role. This is the MOST stressful role ever and you
can ask Phill if you don't believe my words.

However, I am not pushing you away, I am sure there are people who can step
in and help!

The New Team Leader needs NOT only to handle Testing/Bugs and stuff like
that. He needs to:

Organize a Team - VERY important
Motivate a Team
Recruit more members if needed

and lots of other tasks :)

AND ...
This is for the Lubuntu Community and specially the Lubuntu QA Team to
know: I'm afraid I can NOT do any kind of testing for Lubuntu this cycle.
Sad but true. All what I can offer is handling the Brainstorming Team and
do some Wiki Edits whenever possible.

You see, my hands are so tight:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad/UbuntuGNOME-Team - and I am very happy
with Ubuntu GNOME and it is a young team that need my full help and
support. Not to mention, StartUbuntu Project :)

But, needless to say, if Lubuntu needs help, I am the first one who will
jump in, roll up my sleeves and get the dirty job done! NO doubt about that.

THIS IS JUST a suggestion. Take it, or leave it. This is entirely up to
Lubuntu QA Team to decide.

I offered my advice and thoughts. I offered my idea on a blueprint. It is
time for YOU guys to make up your mind and decide!

Let me know if you need anything.

All the best and good luck :)
