Hi all,

I've edited the ppc Known Issues wiki page and added additional information
on the no-sound and radeon-agp-freeze issue.

I've also reached out to Michael Ellerman on topic of the sound issue, who
mentioned that he recently got an ibook himself and plans to have a look,
so I'm hopeful we are getting somewhere and have gathered some attention on
the issue.

to everyone's attention as it would be helpful to further collect audio
device id's of ppc Mac's you have access to so that the missing ones can be
added in the future (no matter if the original poster is still on it or
not; sadly I only have my ibook to test on; if you can spend some money
yourself to help build a bigger test pool on your end or in general or know
someone who might please consider taking a look at eBay to acquire eg.
iBook's, eMac's or G5 iMac's, this is just a suggestion obviously and
completly optional but it would help beyond the sound issue to keep ppc
alive and healthily maintained/ supported/ tested) and get sound back
working in a recent release (which would mean no need to jump all the way
back to 12.04 anymore simply for sound) :)

Is that something you can take care of, Boris? If not, just give me
the test and I'll fit it in there somewhere. I'd keep to the tone of
the wiki and be as instructional/informational as possible.

BTW average_guy (cc'd) now has two of my old PowerBooks and he's been
doing (passing!) testing with Vivid now that the ISO tracker is back
up. Of course, he's got an nvidia:

I would recommend that all of you test the LXQt packages. Not the
prototype iso (unfortunately the build system doesn't build PPC, boo),
but the PPA packages (ppa:lubuntu-dev/lubuntu-daily). It won't give
you a good sense of what it's like to have everything included (and
missing the stuff that doesn't need to be there), but it will be a
good "go/no-go" test for whether or not we have any problems with the
Qt packages.
