Actually, sinzui had the good idea to release the new version in a PPA. 
 Which means we don't even have to wait for it to be released in 
Trusty: I just copied the package in our daily PPA for now.

The only remaining problem was a tiny issue with the auto-detection of 
the interfaces in the lab.  I just landed a fix for that.

A run is in progress right now [1].  With any luck it should pass.
