MAAS 1.8.0 RC2 Released!

 

I'm happy to announce that MAAS 1.8.0 RC2 has been released. This includes
fixes for the following issues:

*UI Fixes:*
LP: #1459886 - Make the power section of the node details page sensitive to
cluster disconnections.
LP: #1443959 - Save search filters for nodes and devices when changing the
current view in angular.
LP: #1459886 - Send "update" notify message to all connected websocket
clients for clusters when they connect or disconnect from the region.
LP: #1461258 - Don't initialize the header height to the current value of
the element. Reset the padding-top on destroy.
LP: #1461256 - Fix filter by node by replacing item in array, on create
action, if the item already exists.
LP: #1461977 - Remove obsolete 'Check component compatibility and
certification' option.

*Core Fixes:*
LP: #1459876 - Add a "maas-region-admin purge_unused_images" command, which
will vacuum the database and remove any deleted large objects.
LP: #1460485 - Convert '/+' in URI to '/' with twisted.
LP: #1392865 - Use the maximum timeout for virsh power control, to fix
issues where the login is slow on a remote ssh connecto to virsh.
LP: #1460189 - Import python-pyvmomi using import_module() just before use,
so that there is no need to restart maas-clusterd after installing
python-pyvmomi.
LP: #1459331 - Fix logging in p.rpc.dhcp.configure() to work with
exceptions other than ExternalProcessError.

MAAS 1.8.0 RC2 will be available for testing:

*ppa:maas-maintainers/testing*


*NOTICE:*
Once a MAAS RC release is successfully tested and no critical issues are
present, MAAS 1.8.0 Final will be released. Once MAAS 1.8.0 is officially
released, it will replace MAAS 1.7.5 in:

ppa:maas-maintainers/stable
