The bcm5974 driver is adequate, but could use better palm detection,
particularly given the increasing size of trackpads on apple products
=). It also tends to pick up fingers touching the aluminum around the
pad in odd ways (at least on the macbook 5,1). Does anyone know of
algorithms (or perhaps if the darwin driver source) are available to
study to improve the implementation of this feature? What might the
patent implications of algorithm-reimplementation be?
