I have a MacBook 4th gen (if that exists) and I've got sound after
adding the infamous lines to /etc/modprobe.d/options and updating the
initrd. There's a glitch thou, the speakers wont work until I insert and
extract a (TRS) jack in the headphones jack, bizarre...

Bug description:
amd64 alternate 7.10 install on a rev3 MacBook (2.2 ghz). Sound preference module runs tests, but no sound comes through speakers.
