[Bug 283251] Re: Macbook 1st Gen, Intrepid Ibex, appletouch fails after inactivity
They should not be switched, but generally, if it is a bug that affects
only intel macs, it should have mactel-support added to the project
list. That helps us keep track of bugs effecting this hardware. I
updated the other bugs you mentioned. It is MORE important that an
appropriate package is found to file the bug against, rather than just
marking it against "Ubuntu". For instance, appletouch is a module in the
Linux kernel, so I marked this against the "linux" package.

Bug description:
When I close the lid of my laptop (without suspending it), the appletouch driver behaves mysteriously and I am not longer able to use the touchpad. The problem is solved when I unload and reload the appletouch driver. Here are the details:
Hardware: Macbook Core Duo (1st Gen)
OS: Ubuntu Intrepid (8.10)
