Status in “xkeyboard-config” source package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Hello,
This is my first bug report, so forgive me if i make some mistakes.

1)Ubuntu 8.10 on Intel's 64 bit processor

expected to change numkeypad comma key from ',' to '.' I am using polish version of Ubuntu, thus not sure if my tabs/buttons/options/etc translations are correct.
In  gnome-keyboard-properties > "layouts" tab (second from left) > "Numeric keypad layout selection" > check "force standard comma keypad"

It can happen under various circumstances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap utilities)
- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementation
