This bug is a duplicate of #488720 as it only concerns Nvidia cards.
When I reported this bug I didn't know it was Nvidia-specific so I just
reported it for this computer (mine has a Geforce Go 7800). It was also
a regression in Lucid, since suspend has worked reliably for this model
for several years now. You should report your bug as a separate one, if
you haven't already

Bug description:
Both suspend and hibernation worked out of the box in both Jaunty and Karmic but fails in Lucid alpha 2. The laptop suspends just fine, but on resume the screen is blank with no backlight at all. There is no kernel panic though, Num lock and Caps lock still lights up their corresponding LEDs
