Guide to installing Ubuntu on Mac with EFI booting

I finally got around to writing up the procedure I used to install Ubuntu
(14.04.1) on my Mac Mini 6,1:

http://heeris.id.au/2014/ubuntu-plus-mac-pure-efi-boot/

The end result is Ubuntu booting directly from the Mac bootloader (ie. no
rEFInd/rEFIt), with a nice logo for the boot screen, and no bootloader
delay. It's basically an adaptation of Mike Hommey's instructions[1], but
with more focus on the entire Ubuntu installation process, start to finish.

I thought it might be of interest to the rest of this group. If you happen
to look over it and find any errors, please let me know.

Cheers,
— Jason
