Hello Jurgen,

This is a feature. If you click on Settings, and then choose
"Notifications", you can see a hint there: "If you select either of the
email options, notifications will still arrive in your Inbox, but they
will be automatically marked as read" ;)

  Mahara 1.3.3, Ubuntu 10.04 host, MySQL, FF 3.6.12, DB upgraded by Mahara from version 1.2.7 

Hi,
I made a test install of version 1.3.3. to have a look before I update our system. 
I created a group with mode "invite only" and invited a standard user. When I login 
as the user I can see the invitation notification message but it is already marked as 'read'
although I haven't clicked on it or done anything else other than going to the notification page. 
Is this a bug or a feature?
