I've checked and Magpie does support Atom.

I'm fairly sure that the problem is the query string parameters.


I believe there might be a hack to fix the problem using the  php feedcreator class I was playing with at the weekend.

  Mahara forum RSS feeds not correct when in a moodle block

Bug description:
  I have forum in Mahara with an rss feed:

  http://mahara.midkent.ac.uk/interaction/forum/atom.php?type=g&id=10

  When viewing the feed in a web browser or via a feed reader like tint
  RSS or google ireader it works as expected with the news title
  directing to the site when clicked on.

  However if I add the feed into an RSS block in Moodle when the titles
  are clicked they go to the root of the Moodle site and not through to
  Mahara. Other RSS feeds work as expected.

  Additionally is possible it would be good for these links to be able
  to automatically sign a user into Mahara when clicked.

  I am running Mahara 1.3.3
