[Bug 789358] Re: When single view / page is submitted to a group, the entie collection becomes accessible
Tutors complained bitterly to me that their group view had hundreds of
submitted pages to scroll through in order to view submissions.(Students
were asked to submit all pages as we were finding some had edited access
on single views in collections which messed up the submit one view to
see the entire collection strategy.) The ability to view all views in a
single collection while only submitting one was much better, but the
ability to submit collections would be the best solution. Then it's
clear to everyone exactly what's being submitted. For assignments
collections are much more likely to be used than single views.

Title:
When single view / page is submitted to a group, the entie collection
becomes accessible
Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
Triaged
Bug description:
When you submit a page to a controlled group (no other access rights
are given), the entire collection becomes visible. However, only the
page that was submitted is locked.
As the teacher can see the entire collection, he may think that the
other pages are also locked.I think, both students and teachers need
to be made aware that.
The student could see a message along the line: You have submitted
<title of the page>. As it is part of collection <collection title>,
this collection becomes visible. However, you can continue editing the
other pages in the collection.
The teacher should get a notice on the pages that have not been
submitted but are visible because they are part of the collection that
these pages are still editable, e.g.: This page has not been submitted
and its content can change. It is visible because it is part of
collection <collection title>.
