    Fix day-plus-one bugs with the sitemap generator
    
    Bug #797035 - This code adds a date tag to the filenames
    and adjusts the index generation to be based on the sitemaps
    directory content.
    
    When run on the first day of a month (or if a full
    generation is forced), the sitemaps directory is emptied
    beforehand.

Bug description:
  The sitemap generator code works fine for the first day it is run, but
  on the second day (and beyond) it clobbers anything that was included
  on previous day(s), and presents incomplete data to anything that uses
  it (eg Google).
