  Fix subsequent day bugs in the sitemap generation code

Bug description:
  The sitemap generator code works fine for the first day it is run, but
  on the second day (and beyond) it clobbers anything that was included
  on previous day(s), and presents incomplete data to anything that uses
  it (eg Google).
