Group types are gone in 1.5 (sorry for my miswording) and there are also
a number of other pieces of information being displayed, e.g.
submissions, publicly viewable group etc. Therefore, we would need more
information from other users whether this information should be
displayed or if we just don't display any of it. That's why it has the
status "Wishlist".

  Group type "Request" doesn't show up on group homepage

Bug description:
  Mahara 1.5RC1

  When you create a request membership group, this group type doesn't
  show up on the group homepage. The type however is listed when it is
  an open or controlled group.
