Hi Kristina,

I don't believe its an upgrade problem. 
I have tested upgrading the DB from 1.5 to 1.6 dev and the vimeo icon was display.

Bug description:
  affects Mahara master (1.6.0dev)

  Only the generic favicon is displayed for Vimeo on
  /admin/extensions/iframesites.php

  If you add "www." to the icon host, the correct favicon will be
  pulled.
