Sadly the tightening of the param_ has left a bug .. the notifications
field in the sync.php can be comma separated but comma is not part of
param_alpha set so this field does indeed need to be param_variable ..

  It would be nice if the mobile API would support:

  a) writing journals posts .. 
  b) attaching files to journal posts
  c) syncing recent activity / unread inbox items
  d) syncing tags
  e) syncing file folders
  f) syncing journals
  g) syncing journal posts
