To be clear, the fix for the useragent has been applied to 1.9, so 1.9
users can upgrade to the latest 1.9.19+ to get this. It doesn't require
a to 2.x upgrade.

Did i get something wrong here?

The fix to the original problem (incorrect firefox useragent check).
However Firefox implmeneted a workaround for this bug which is helpful
for users who have not upgraded, this workaround is what is now causing
problems. This problem is *not yet* fixed.

  Since the release of Firefox 17.0 MNET SSO from Moodle to Mahara is
  broken. Works fine with Firefox <17, Chrome and IE9.
