Hmm, my test on 1.8 dev (with https://reviews.mahara.org/#/c/2450/ and
https://reviews.mahara.org/#/c/2451/ in place) I can't replicate the
problem.

Using FF 23

I created a new user, logged in as new user, created a page and added
.flv, .mp4, and .avi files to the page in blocks

I added some more files to the content -> files area.

I exported both the full portfolio as leap2a and exported only the page
as leap2a.

I opened the zip files and in them where the expected video files
including the .flv ones.

I'm unable the read the forum post as I've not got access to it - could
the salient points be added to this bug?

Is it related to a certain browser?

  flv files are not exported in Leap2A

Bug description:

  Flash or flv files are not included in the Leap2A export in Mahara
  1.5, 1.6 and 1.8dev, but work in 1.4. I tested 1.7 and flv file is
  exported on the demo site alright.
