I'm not sure if this is the problem people are experiencing - but this
is the problem than I am experiencing:

The images are too large and cover up the right arrow so I can't click
it to get to next image.

To avoid this I can adjust width setting in the config to a smaller
number

However, here is a fix to adjust the max-width set on the images by the 'width' setting in config after page loads so that slideshow images fix within slideshow if blockinstance is moved to a thin column.

So now the config setting will be observed if column is wider than
config width else the slideshow will be adjusted to fix overriding the
config value.

  Added the new Image Gallery block to a page in slideshow mode.  The
  next and previous arrows were not clickable.

  Tested in Firefox and this worked as expected.
